WHERE WE FIND THEM
Yellowfin Tuna roam the offshore waters of the Gulf, often following baitfish along temperature breaks, current edges, oil rigs, and other productive offshore areas. Around Orange Beach, they’re most commonly targeted during extended offshore trips when conditions and bait patterns line up.
HOW WE CATCH THEM
We use a variety of techniques depending on conditions, but these are our go-to methods:
- Trolling with skirted lures and rigged baits
- Live bait fishing around feeding activity
- Chunking and drift fishing offshore
- Vertical jigging when tuna are holding deep
